BELLVILLE -- The funeral of Levi McLaughlin occurred on Monday last at the residence of Mrs. Anna Shafer west of town.  Rev. J.N. Barnett conducted the services.  His remains were taken to Lexington for interment.  At the age of 17 years, 10 months and 7 days, he fell victim to that fell disease, consumption.  He was a quiet, manly, kind-hearted boy having the respected of all who knew him.
